Book 1 of the Royal Road serial, hiatus (68 chapters, first chapter 2022-01-04, latest February 2023): a cosmic event tears Orbital Gunner Gottlieb's weapons platform - built to end wars by its sheer presence - from Earth's orbit and strands it above a fantasy world of magic, elves and monsters. Last human aboard with only the AI 'Kai' for crew, Gottlieb must master the station while the new universe's magical system degrades his mind and body into something brutish, setting soldier against AI over humanity's future (plot from verified author synopsis; volume span from verified Royal Road chapter list).
