Once, the world belonged to us. Now it belongs to the creatures of the night. Humanity clings to life in scattered strongholds behind crumbling walls while horrors pound steam-powered gates. The sacred Flame bestows reality-bending powers to the worthy — and the same to the horrors. A young man caught between ruthless hunters and abominations dreams of wielding the Flame's blessings; to climb its ranks he must endure a fading city's hunger and danger, where the Flame demands cruelty and grisly transformation.
