Apocalypse: Regression
R.A. Mejia
As humanity takes its final breath facing extinction from monsters, the last three survivors create a final chance by sending a hero back through a chronomancer portal — but when the portal's creator and hero are killed, only weak assistant Nick Gallows remains to carry the dream. Regressing into his past, Nick must relentlessly train, level, and prepare the world for the apocalypse, forming the Daedalus Guild, delving dungeons, and facing Wyrm, Vampire, and clandestine Forebears of Ingenga who seek to hasten the Endless Night. A bestselling LitRPG/Gamelit regression series centered on dungeon-diving, stat leveling, skills, guild leadership, and the weight of time, where every volume compounds Nick's training and timeline knowledge toward stopping the Red Death, Endless Night, and dragonkin rift invasions.
Progression: Central regression/time-loop progression fused with LitRPG system. Nick Gallows bears full memories of a failed future and iterates through the past to grind power: explicit stat leveling, skill acquisition, dungeon-diving for levels/loot/rare traits, guild ranks, and tactical team-combat. Progression is quantified via levels, stats, skills, dungeon tiers (graduation dungeons, Ecto Sanctuary, arctic rift), and classroom/gym/Gold's Guild training. Academy-adjacent structure: Hillcrest School of Excellence graduation dungeon tests, Daedalus Guild formation and guildmaster trials, Red Death mass dungeon break countdown, and Forebears of Ingenga conspiracy gating power. Each book escalates dungeon tier, party size, and magic/tech threats; regression is the engine — 'When time weighs heavily, it's time to hit the weights.'
