Earthen Contenders
Jonathan Brooks
Millions of Humans from Earth are transported to the developmental world of Tarth to train as Contenders via the Assimilation System. Thaden is ejected from the training process into an active volcano, survives alone in a dungeon with no weapons, and is auto-assigned the Support-based Assistant Healer Class — no offensive spells, unable to wield weapons. He discovers his Mana seemingly never depletes, turning a non-combat healer into an overpowered solo dungeon-runner. Across six volumes he climbs Levels, evolves his Class (Assistant Healer → Lifewarden and beyond), navigates Contender Rankings, Guilds, Intermediate and Anchor dungeons, and Developmental Phases, while facing the world-spanning Adversary.
Progression: Explicit LitRPG Assimilation System — quantified Levels (cap increases with Class Evolution), Classes and Class Evolutions (Assistant Healer → Lifewarden → further evolutions with Evolution Assignments), stats, mana, Rankings (global Contender leaderboards where top rank protects families on Earth), Developmental Phases (1-4, each unlocking new regions, Wildlands, and dungeon tiers), dungeons (Training, Beginner, Intermediate — including The Devil's Nail, The Citadel — Anchor dungeons for SPECIAL Quests, Raid Parties requiring 100+ members), Guild system (Guild Quests, Guild Rankings, formal mechanics), and SPECIAL Quests. Level-gated combat rules (higher Level Contenders vulnerable to lower Level attackers), gear tiers for Support-Class drops, and System-mandated Class drawbacks in parties. Progression is central and continuously tracked.
