Everybody Loves Large Chests

Boxxy T. Morningwood is a chest mimic turned shapeshifting monster who must survive in a fantasy world that runs on LitRPG rules. After eating the adventurer Himmel and stealing his identity, Boxxy learns to exploit the System: gaining Levels, unlocking Jobs (Mimic, Doppelganger, Assassin, Warlock and more), acquiring Skills, raising Attributes, and evolving into higher monster tiers. Each volume follows Boxxy's ruthless, comedic ascent—from dungeon newbie zone to infiltrating empires, collecting shinies, mastering magic, and outwitting gods and Heroes—while the world wars around it. The series is pure monster-evolution progression with explicit levels, status screens, and tiered power growth.
Progression: Explicit LitRPG System with Levels, Jobs/Classes, Skills, Attributes, and Monster Evolution Tiers. Boxxy gains XP by killing and eating, levels up to increase base stats (STR, AGI, END, INT, WIS, CHA, LUC), unlocks new Jobs at level thresholds (e.g., Mimic → Doppelganger → Assassin → Warlock), acquires active/passive Skills (Acid Spray, Shapeshift, Stealth, Spellcraft) that rank up through use, and evolves its species tier (Chest Mimic → Greater Mimic → etc.) upon meeting attribute and skill requirements. Quests and Achievements grant bonus rewards; divine Heroes and Overlords represent capstone power tiers. Dungeon cores, artifacts, and magic ranks provide additional advancement tracks.
