Glass Kanin
Kia Leep
As a rising actor, Kanin's body is his career—until he dies and is reborn as a bottle of ink, the heart of a magical glass servant bound to a senile wizard's yard work. A murderous shadow monster hunts his soul while the world's magic system dictates his fate. Teaming with an elf trapped in a toy octopus and a devilishly handsome rogue, Kanin quests to break the spell trapping them. With over half a million views on Royal Road, this whimsical yet horrific LitRPG blends Ghibli charm with queer agency and monster-evolution progression.
Progression: LitRPG monster-evolution and glass-magic progression. Kanin begins as a fragile glass servant (bottle-of-ink heart) and must upgrade his glass body, learn eldritch magic, and build cooperation with the predatory shadow entity bound to his soul. Each book explicitly tracks 'upgrades his glass body', 'upgrades his glass magic', and eldritch tiers. Royal Road description tags it 'LitRPG and monster-evolution'; book blurbs detail glass-form enhancements, ocean-depth pressure adaptations, and heist-gated heavenly tiers.
