Alexander and his guild mates play Io Online, the largest VRMMORPG on the planet, for fun and to earn a living. Testing a new experimental immersion system, they give up their high-level characters and begin again at level one — just as demons unseen for ages invade Io. Across five books, the Greystone Guild battles player killers, conquers the Dire Lands, expands their keep into the kingdom of Elysia, and leads Elves, Dwarves, and Human Kingdoms against the Dark One and the drow wizards in a final world war.
Progression: VRMMORPG LitRPG level/skill/stat progression. Alexander and his guild test an experimental immersion system that forces them to abandon high-level characters and restart at level one, then climb back through noob-zone quests, First Kill dungeon runs, tougher dungeons, and PK warfare. Progression is explicit and central: levels, stats (Fibble gains stats, skills, and a patron deity in book 4), new skills, dungeon conquest, keep/territory expansion, and kingdom-building from guild to the kingdom of Elysia across the five books.
