In a Civilized Manner
myoatbread
A self-proclaimed seeker of peace and his trusty, amnesic system venture to flip the world on its back — in a civilized manner, of course. Edris has always aimed for a peaceful, carefree life, but the world around him has other plans. From the system-like entity Ace in his head to aristocratic conspiracies, mismatched identities and intercontinental wars, chaos keeps finding him. When the world calls him prophet, Edris's carefree life slips a bit further away. UPDATE TUES-THURS-SAT.
Progression: Central explicit progression fantasy with LitRPG/GameLit elements that begin in Part 2 (Ch. 58). Edris's growth is mediated by Ace, an amnesic system entity in his head that provides structured advancement, quests and power scaling. The novel leans on strategy, anti-hero leadership and multi-perspective scheming, with earned progression through conspiracies, wars and tournament arcs. RoyalRoad tags progression + litrpg + strategy confirm advancement is the engine, with author note stating progression fantasy is core and LitRPG mechanics intensify after the opening act.
