Path of the Last Champion
TheWanderingWind
He was destined to die a sinner. Instead, he will rise as the Last Champion. Nar was born to pay for a sin he never committed, locked in a cubeplant in the depths of the Between-Nexus, feeding the machine—cursed to die in darkness without ever seeing the sky. When he gets his one chance at freedom, he takes it. Now Nar must Climb. With a hybrid class he can barely control, a weapon that doesn't suit him, and a secret that would get him killed if his party discovered it, he'll brave the ageless depths of the B-Nex in search of the fabled surface, toward freedom and the power to rescue his father. The B-Nex doesn't forgive and never forgets—something in its depths watches Nar's every move, waiting to see what he becomes. Some sinners are destined to fall. Others were born to rise.
Progression: High-confidence LitRPG progression fantasy where structured advancement is central and marketed as Progression/LitRPG on Royal Road. Nar advances via an explicit System established for a long time ('There's nothing new in the Nexus!') that governs society: holy-trinity classes plus party-leader roles, with many unique paths/affinities becoming more relevant in Arc 2, slow-burn earned power with no handouts or shortcuts. Arc 1 is a Tower Climber through a vast, ancient, cruel machine world (the Between-Nexus / B-Nex); Arc 2 reveals the outside world after the Climb; Arc 3 is a long delve into the Brightnight jungle domain with monstrous beasts and huge gains; Arc 4 enters the Frozen Heart. Progression is measured through class levels, path affinities, System-granted abilities, dungeon delves, huge raids, and grand plot milestones, with party members each having their own growth and relevant storylines. Verified via Royal Road fiction page genre tags (litrpg, progression) and 'What to expect' System description.
