Player 0.4

Alek Aundra

The battle against the Kobar Empire was utterly lost and Luca lay dying when a strange blue screen appeared: [ You have been identified as having the aptitude needed to be a Player. Would you like to reset the game and try again? ] He accepts, but the reset glitches: [ Error. Partial Player. ] [ Active Players: 0.4 ]. Beginning Round 2 with only 0.4 of a Player's power, weak AF and frankly an idiot at first, Luca is thrust into a time-loop LitRPG progression fantasy where death is a reset button. With each death-loop he retains knowledge, learns, and grows — slowly burning, character-driven progression over four arcs (Ch 1-77, 78-164, 165-248, 249+) as he tries to save everyone he cares about from the Kobar Empire. If you're looking for an MC who starts strong or clever, this ain't it — but with enough deaths, Luca learns and grows.

Progression: Explicit, central LitRPG + time-loop (reset) progression. The System identifies Player aptitude and offers game-like resets: each loop death triggers [ Reset in progress. ] → [ Beginning Round 2 ] etc., allowing iterative optimization. Due to glitch Luca is a Partial Player (0.4 players active), meaning fractional starting power with gated system access that expands via loops. Progression is measured by retained knowledge across loops, incremental stat/skill gains, loop-count mastery, and kingdom-building tiers as he re-optimizes the war against the Kobar Empire. Each death-loop is a power-up iteration; weak-to-strong is explicit ("weak AF and an idiot" → grows with deaths). Tagged LitRPG + Loop + Progression + Kingdom Building on RoyalRoad; progression is the engine (loop-driven leveling is central, not backdrop).
