Towers of Entropy

Tom Wrath

The world started anew 802 years ago after The Fall of the old civilization. From the ruins rose the Towers in Chicago, Phoenix and beyond, projecting Order Fields that hold back chaotic Entropy and allow technology—from muskets to assault rifles—to function again. Cities trade Flow orbs gathered at Falling Fields to power their Order. With the Towers came the Griidlords: each city grants five Griidsuits that turn wearers into superheroes, each the match of a thousand fighting men. Tiberius, a wealthy merchant's son denied nobility, has been forged to compete for the Sword of Boston—a Griidsuit that would found a new noble house—against heirs of Griidlord lines who see the suit as birthright. Formerly serialized as Griidlords: The Bloodsword Saga (Volumes 1-4).

Progression: Explicit LitRPG / Progression core verified via Royal Road genre tags: LitRPG + Progression + Post Apocalyptic + Super Heroes. System: (1) Towers & Order/Entropy fields — quantifiable city-level Order rating gates technology tiers (bow/steam/rifle/electricity) purchased with Flows from Orbs. (2) Griidsuits — five per city, superpower-granting progression suits; competition (Choosing) ranks candidates, Sword Level: 40 cited in text, suit mastery is measurable tier. (3) Griidlord ranks — city superheroes ranked as noble houses, with inter-city wars and Fallen Fields orb campaigns providing external ladder. (4) Weak-to-strong arc — Tiberius evolves from commoner contender to Griidlord contender through training, doubt, and Choosing trials; each volume escalates suit capability and Order control. Royal Road rating 4.49/98 confirms progression focus.
