Ultimate Level 1
Shawn Wilson
Max wanted to be a [Baker] — settle down, bake stuff and enjoy life. The gods ruined that dream by giving him the rare Black skill [Consume], a skill decreed never to be seen again. Now running for his life and hunted by gods and men, Max must hide his secret while leveling through dungeons, the human capital Peltagow, and a multi-floor Tower that tests strength, mind and party synergy. Joined by Tanila, Fowl, Batrire, Cordellia and later Sog and Rakonath, each volume raises the tower floors, skill evolutions (Epic Crafting, Consume evolutions) and stat growth, culminating in godhood, Divine Points and world-creation — an explicit, central LitRPG progression where every book is a level of power, from fugitive baker to divine creator.
Progression: LitRPG / System progression is central and verified via Goodreads series 388202 descriptions. Mechanics: (1) Black Skill [Consume] — rare, evolving, allows consuming and stealing skills/stats; its evolution drives tier breaks. (2) Levels & Stats — numerical Levels, stat points and skill ranks gained via monster kills, dungeon clears and Tower floor bosses; each book notes 'gaining levels and acquiring stronger items.' (3) Skills & Crafting — Epic Crafting and other skills require new identities/ruses, skill evolution is plot-gated. (4) Tower & Dungeon Tiers — Tower floors with increasingly hard bosses and puzzle tiers, plus dungeon delves; progression is floor-gated. (5) Godhood & Divine Points — final arc transitions from mortal Levels to god rank, Divine Points for world-creation and Divine Conflict protection windows, making the ladder explicit from Level 1 to Divine.
