When reality is no longer real, the greatest game on Earth may not be playing by the rules, in the epic third installment of this superhero adventure. Under the alias Loophole and empowered with the ability to control time, Nate Mercer has come into his own as an Augment. With Phase Two in full swing, he's united a ragtag team calling themselves the Wildcard Assembly. If only the next phase of Ascension were just about saving the city like a normal superhero would. But hordes of robotic monstrosities have been loosed across the nation, a vengeful Augment is sowing chaos and dogging Loophole with a personal vendetta, and a mysterious architect has a grand design to tear the whole system down. In a world in which fate is tied to a leaderboard and reality runs on video game logic, Loophole is forced into an escalating, near-impossible battle against lunatics with god complexes, mad scientists, and rogue AIs.
