Alchemist of the Wilds
A. T. Valentine
Ex-assassin Lianthorn Belladonna flees his family's life of poison and murder for a quiet frontier town, where he must rebuild his alchemy from toxins into healing brews — helped by a red-scaled Draconian carpenter — and perhaps discover the recipe for happiness along the way. A cozy progression fantasy about craft mastery, publishing from Royal Road stub to Kindle Unlimited.
Progression: Craft-mastery progression centered on alchemy: ex-assassin Lianthorn rebuilds his poison-craft into healing and brewing mastery via his family's scarlet-bound recipe book, frontier apothecary practice, and expanding repertoire of romantic brews and remedies. Royal Road officially genres the serial as progression fantasy; advancement is skill/recipe-based rather than realm-based, in the cozy cultivation-of-craft tradition.
