Elemental Gatherers
Chris Vines
A deity-chosen isekai portal cultivation saga. Just before college graduation, the MC dies saving a girl and is reborn as Kupiec Aiden in Zemia, a world where magic (Aether) is real. With immense innate talent in Aether Gathering he earns a scholarship to Azyl Academy, the premier magic academy. The series follows Aiden's elemental cultivation, academy ranking tournaments, forest expeditions, Beast Waves, Chaos cultists, Primordial Beasts, and inter-kingdom champion tournaments as he masters Alchemy, Inscription, combat, Aether gathering and advancement tiers including Seed Core and beyond to prevent world calamity warned of by Darkness. The sequel arcs (Chaos Rising, Condensation, Craesti City, Monster Island, Legacy of the M'Zee, Homecoming, Innovation City, Depths of the Forest) expand to capital politics, Monster Island international tourney, ancient M'Zee legacy secret realm, oceanic homecoming, barony defense and Great Western Forest corruption — all centered on relentless Aether cultivation progression.
Progression: Portal-cultivation / Aether Gathering progression verified via Goodreads series descriptions and book blurbs: (1) Aether Gathering & Talent Tiers — MC discovered to have exceptionally high innate talent, offered scholarship to Azyl Academy; academy curriculum is Alchemy, Inscription, combat, gathering/channeling Aether. Ranking tournaments within tiers test who is strongest and divide students into expedition teams. (2) Cultivation Realms — explicit advancement like Seed Core (Book 7 blurb: 'advancing to Seed Core faster than anyone else in history'), plus further cores/condensation noted in titles (Condensation). Characters must 'grow stronger', gather and channel Aether, expand kingdom and manage dungeon-like secret realms (Divine Territory of Alilahat Nuwr, M'Zee legacy realm) with Aether-infused riches. (3) Threat Escalation & Beast/Primordial Ladder — Primordial Beasts, Beast Waves, Chaos cultists, Forest corruption and inter-nation champion tiers provide quantified power ladder; progression requires tempering magic and acquiring legacy knowledge to save Zemia from Chaos calamity warned by Darkness deity.
