The Jade Phoenix Saga
D.I. Freed
A cultivation progression fantasy starring Yu, the only descendant of the mighty Fenghuang warrior lineage born with a corrupted God Sign - a cultivator without cultivation. Scorned and bullied, she secretly masters twin Jian sword forms until a chance to be reborn sets her on the true cultivator's path: from rural outcast to disciple of the Black Dragon sect's infamous leader, climbing sect ranks and growing her cultivation against enemies who want to see her fail.
Progression: Cultivation-based progression: cultivators awaken God Signs that determine their potential; Yu's corrupted God Sign initially blocks her cultivation. Advancement runs through martial mastery (twin Jian sword forms), qi/cultivation growth, and sect rank climbing (Black Dragon sect hierarchy, from outer disciple upward under a sect leader's tutelage). Book 2's subtitle marks it 'A Cultivation LitRPG Series', confirming explicit quantified advancement alongside classical xianxia realm-climbing.
