Path of Emperor
A.P. Gore
Li Jei has no Dantian. No Dantian, no cultivation path; no path, no power; no power, no life. In a world where cultivators rule and non-cultivators suffer, Jei scrapes by to feed himself and his handicapped sister - unaware of what secrets she holds for the cultivators. Dual Body Cultivation opens the Path of Emperor series with a powerless protagonist fighting to survive in a power-hungry cultivation world.
Progression: Xianxia Dantian-based cultivation: advancement requires a Dantian and cultivation aptitude, and social power tracks cultivation power directly (cultivators rule, mortals suffer). The series hook is dual-body cultivation (per title) pursued by a protagonist who begins with no Dantian at all - a weak-to-strong ladder he must climb without the standard organ of advancement.
