Reborn as a Demonic Tree
Xkarnation
Ashlock wakes in the courtyard of a demonic sect — as a tree. A man-eating spirit tree. In a world where humans fly on flaming swords, chase immortality through cultivation, and challenge the heavens, Ashlock is a sapling rooted in a desolate courtyard, unable to speak, watched by cultivators who see his Qi-rich bark as a resource. To survive he must cultivate, grow stronger each day, and use a suspicious daily sign-in system that grants powerful skills, mutations, summons, and items in exchange for credits earned from eating flesh and watching the seasons pass. As Beast Tides loom and sect politics turn deadly, Ashlock must expand his roots, devour his enemies, and become stronger than any tree in the history of the nine realms — or be chopped for firewood.
Progression: Explicit dual progression central to every volume. 1) Xianxia cultivation realms: Ashlock advances as a spirit tree through classic stages observed in synopses — from sapling/Qi gathering through half-step Nascent Soul Realm (Book 4), full Nascent Soul Realm (Book 5), and Inner World formation requiring 10,000 credits and Star Cores (Book 4). Nine realms cosmology; higher realms attract heavenly tribulation and unlock regional dominance. Bark Qi richness makes him a target for young masters, tying cultivation directly to plot. 2) LitRPG System: a daily sign-in system exchanging credits (earned by eating flesh / absorbing Qi) for Skills, mutations, summons, and items. System hunger drives expansion to neighboring cities and rival sects to source Star Cores (Book 4-5). Progression is quantified via credits, Star Cores, and realm breakthroughs, gating new abilities and scaling sect power vs. Blood Lotus Sect and ancient cultivator Vincent Nightrose (Book 5). Both axes are foregrounded in every book description and reviews.
