Systems of the Apocalypse
Macronomicon
Jeb Trapper tried to kill himself when the System arrived. Instead he was forced into an Impossible Tutorial while high on ecstasy, then thrust into a brutal System apocalypse where humanity must level, choose Systems (Generic, Fairy, Dungeon, Quest), and survive alien cities, orphanages, and alien bureaucracy. Each volume forces Jeb to master a new System, from the Generic tutorial to Fairy bargains, Dungeon lordship, and Quest-driven escalation, with explicit Levels, stats, and System quantification driving every arc.
Progression: Explicit System-apocalypse LitRPG progression is central and quantified: The System installs globally with tutorial difficulty selection (Impossible Tutorial), then grants Levels, stats, and System-specific mechanics (Generic System, Fairy System, Dungeon System, Quest System). Jeb gains XP from kills and quests, allocates stats, unlocks System abilities, and each volume introduces a new System layer (fairy bargains, dungeon core management, quest chains). Power is vertical and tracked via System windows, with alien bureaucracy and orphanage management as progression vectors. Goodreads blurbs for each volume reference System installation, tutorial completion, and System mastery as the engine.
