The Mech Touch

Exlor

The Age of Mechs has arrived! Unfortunately, Ves Larkinson lacked the genetic aptitude to become a famed mech pilot. Fighting against his fate, he studied mech design in order to express his love for mechs in a different way and make his father proud. When Ves graduated from college, he returned to a new but empty boutique. His dad had disappeared. Left with a small, newly founded mech workshop that his father painstakingly built with a mountain of debt, Ves somehow needs to make ends meet with the bank breathing down his neck. Then he found salvation from another legacy his father had left. "Welcome to the Mech Designer System. Please design your new mech." In a galaxy where mechs are king, Ves must climb the mech designer ranks to survive, growing from struggling apprentice to legendary Star Designer across 6000+ chapters.

Progression: Explicit central System progression via the Mech Designer System. Power is tiered through formal mech designer ranks (Apprentice → Journeyman → Senior → Master → Star Designer) gating design capabilities, mech tiers (e.g., 3rd-class to 1st-class, masterwork, prime mechs), and System skills/DP (Design Points), merits, and mission rewards. Mech quality, fabrication, spirituality, and design philosophy advance measurably per arc; pilot genetic aptitude vs designer progression is a core tension. Reviews confirm 'System, mechs, ... Design Points, merits, and mech tiers' and long-form cultivation-like grind across 6000+ Webnovel chapters with level-ups driving every arc, making advancement the central engine.
