The Ten Realms

Michael Chatfield

Two former soldiers, Erik West and his marine buddy Jimmy 'Rugrat' Rodriguez, are marked by the mysterious Two Week Curse that shows them stat screens and grants game-like abilities. With fourteen days until teleportation, they must prepare for transport to a world of magic, cultivation and dungeons where strength is security. Arriving in the Ten Realms, they must learn to survive, craft, fight and advance through successive realms—each a distinct, hostile tier of power—relying on military skills and rapidly learned cultivation to forge their own path from the First Realm upward.

Progression: Explicit ten-tier realm advancement central to the entire series. The world is divided into Ten Realms (1st through 10th), each strictly gated by power level. Characters advance by accumulating mana, raising stats via LitRPG stat screens (levels, attributes, skills), undergoing body reforging/cultivation, clearing dungeons, and crafting increasingly tiered gear. Each Realm represents a fundamental jump in monster strength, mana density and political structure; progression is measured and displayed via system screens, and gates access to crafting recipes, techniques, territories and wars. Later realms require breakthroughs analogous to cultivation realm advancements. Dual progression: personal cultivation/stat levels AND realm-level conquest/crafting progression.
