Wake of the Ravager

Macronomicon

Wake of the Ravager is a progression fantasy following Calvin, a boy born an exile whose first Break determines the trajectory of his life on the world of Marconen. Calvin chooses magic — without proper schooling or mentor, dragged across the planet by cruel fate, blending different schools of magic and powerful abilities to create something new. But his System is strangely talkative and his birth carries a deeper secret. As he grows, Calvin defends his home country Gadvera, serves as bodyguard to Kala on a diplomatic mission to the merchant nation Uleis ruled by a cult cabal, is thrown into the inescapable hole known as the Siphon, and emerges as a Legend bearing strange magics to build his own kingdom. From defensive battles to political intrigue, Siphon delving, and finally Wizard-King nation-building, Calvin's journey escalates from survival to reshaping the continent through trade and conquest.

Progression: Break + System Magic Progression: On Marconen, every person undergoes a first Break that locks in their magical trajectory and starting school (e.g., Calvin's choice of magic). The System provides explicit stats, abilities, and a talkative interface that evolves with Calvin. Progression is structured through: blending multiple magic schools to create new hybrid abilities, Siphon delves (inescapable magical prison/abyss that grants Legend status and strange magics upon escape), country-scale advancement (defending Gadvera, diplomatic leveling in Uleis, building a kingdom from scratch), rank escalation from student to Legend to Wizard-King, and continent-binding trade/diplomatic system where Calvin forces disparate countries into friendly trade. Later volumes (Bent and Twisted) shift to kingdom management progression — tearing down old structures, establishing land, and binding continents. Each book marks a clear tier: survival/exile -> national defender -> Siphon survivor/Legend -> kingdom builder, with System whispers hinting at deeper origins.
